This week, Jilley Sue (are you sick of hearing about her yet? LOL) reminded me about how much you should love the business you’re in. How it should get you really excited just thinking about it. How it should touch you passion points. Move you to tears.
I have a party tonight and still trying to recover from the flu from Hell. (Nicknamed “The F!U”). I’m still tired and nauseated. If anyone needs a slew full of affirmations and reminders of everything great about her business, it’s me. So, I’m going to go all out Jessica-style:
Everything I love about Pure Romance
(Almost – and in no particular order)
I love pink.
I love the products.
I love working in the field of sexual health.
I love making women feel sexy and excited about sex.
I love challenging the taboo of female pleasure.
I love encouraging open discussion about sex.
I love my sister consultants.
I love my customers.
I love my supporters – even when they aren’t customers or team members yet.
I love my team!
I love Patty Brisben.
I love that she’s short like me.
I love that our CEO is her son, Chris.
I love when she rolls her eyes at him or makes him uncomfortable.
I love Chris’ commitment to diversity in sexual expression and identity.
I love that he shares stories about his family.
I love that I can hang out with people who comfortably discuss the benefits lubricant.
I love that we have parties where we get really excited about new vibrators.
I love that sometimes my purse vibrates and it could be my phone OR a vibrator.
I loved that I met NattiG (and a bunch of other hella awesome girls) there!
I love that training and conference give me to dress up like I’m going to the prom again.
I love getting feedback from my customers.
I love it when THEY love the products.
I love it when someone is so in love with a product that buy multiples at once. lol
I love getting to keep my profit right away.
I love our compensation plan and our high average party totals ($500! WHAT?!).
I love that I’ve been able to pay off debt with my business.
I love that I get to set my own schedule and take time off when I want!
I love that I get paid to laugh with friends.
I love that I get out of the house and meet people I would never run into otherwise.
I love having my mind expanded by new ideas.
I love how I’ve been pushed out of my comfort zone.
I love that I’ve been doing this for six years and it’s still not getting old.
